Dreams Only A Brain Exercise

Regular visitors to my website will know I have an imagination, that I call rather weird, (see dream dairy) and my next weird thought is about dreams.

I got to thinking are dreams necessary, and that is a big yes, are they there to help us process/filter the massive amount of information the brain takes in daily while our body gets much-needed rest, and yes again.

A sort of safe haven to sort through our day to day living experiences. at the end of each working day, while our body recharges its battery (so to speak).

Most people will tell you when they do remember their dreams they make little or no sense often being very jumbled.

The Boffin’s (British slang for a scientist, engineer, or other person engaged in technical or scientific work) tell us we dream a number of different dreams nightly (whether we remember them or not), and they seemed mixed up only because our memory of them remembers only parts of each dream making it appear the dream was one crazy mixed up memory.

The International Association for the Study of Dreams a non-profit (ASD International founded in 1983) organization based in the USA. are dedicated to the pure and applied investigation of dreams and dreaming

Dr. Deirdre Barrett, who spoke on “Dreams and Creativity,” is quoted as saying:

“Dreams have produced art, music, novels, films, mathematical proofs, designs for architecture, telescopes, and computers. Dreaming is essentially our brains thinking in another biochemical state—and therefore it’s likely to solve some problems on which our waking minds have become stuck.”

Dreams Shut That Door

Now for my weird thoughts. What if dreaming is a link, a doorway to another existence/dimension. Dr. Deirdre Barrett says “Dreaming is essentially our brains thinking in another biochemical” solving some problems the waking mind had become stuck on.

Ok, let’s take that a little further could the reason problems are solved in dreams be because the solution has already been solved and the dream world is not just a brain exercise but your future, a future that has already been written.

When you visit your dream world you are actually visiting a Parallel Universe. A universe within a universe, making dreams the real world and our time here on Earth, while awake, the dream.

Could our crazy mixed up dreams be a safety feature to protect our understanding of our universe as we see it now …protecting our sanity…

Well I did say I have a weird imagination, and this is one such crazy thought I have not got a handle on (yet)
