Well I reckon that header opens the door for many topics.

Could your partner, the love of your life, your one and only, be unknown to you of course, your long lost half-brother, half-sister, aunt, uncle, nephew etc.

I do not know how marriage pans out in other countries, but here in England it seems as if it is going out of fashion. However, the divorce rate is not what this post is about.

I got to thinking, after watching a television program that tries to sort out various couples love life, that sometimes it works out OK, but more often than not the couple end up going their own way. The program also offers lie detector tests, or a DNA test to
prove who the father of the woman’s baby is.

The DNA test proves eight times out of ten the father turns out to be another man, or the girl/women has no idea who it could be or it has been proven not to be the guy she thought it was. (If that makes any sense to you).

I have noticed there seem to be a lot of couples, one night stands, or one brother going to bed with another brothers partner, or women who have had children to multiple partners, appear on this program on a regular basis.

The one I was watching was about the man of a partnership that had gone out with another woman, so to get back at him his partner had gone out with his best-mate, yes your ahead of me, she ends up pregnant. The program attempts to resolve the problem/problems. “The baby turned out not to be his best-mates either.” (just in case you were wondering).

I reckon in years to come there’s a possibility when children of these unknown fathers/mothers go out into this big bad world of ours where she/he has a very good chance of one day meeting the love of their life, have children and wonder why the big man upstairs has visited on them a child, or children that have that many medical problems sadly dies.

Well I would say the big man upstairs may not be to blame a simple blood check could reveal that the love of their life was their half-brother/sister and the death of their child was due to interbreeding. After all they’re very good medical reasons, apart from it being illegal in this country, or any other I would suppose, for closely related individuals to marry and have children. The emphasis is on having children here.

I have created a scenario that I hope will never happen, but sadly there are children out there who do not know who their mother was, let alone their fathers. So maybe it may become a future legacy.

I guess this post would come under the “what If doom and gloom category”.

Well, I finally managed to find some time to watch the Tony Robinson (Channel 4 T.V) report I recorded some weeks ago, only to hear him pull Dan Brown’s Lost Symbol apart. He sounded, Tony Robinson that is, very much like he was out of his depth.

I hope, I am nobody’s fool, but honestly, is Tony Robinson that naive? Did he expect the Free Mason’s both here and in the USA to broadcast to millions of viewers that Dan Brown got most of it right. He may have just as well asked the Military if they are making direct energy weapons. I’m sure he would have received a similar reply to that the Free Mason’s gave him. I can just see the headlines now! Free Mason’s Hold The Key To Man’s Destiny! … Free Mason’s public image a front! … Inner circle hide from public scrutiny!

Even if the truth has been embroidered a little (OK maybe a lot) isn’t that what most writers do. When all is said and done he writes a hell of a good thriller. If you are a book lover, as I am, or you are a Dan Brown Fan (which I am not), you do not buy a book wrote by him to read about The Life and Time of Leonardo Davinci. Historians can do that. I admit I do own his special illustrated edition of The Davinci Code. My daughter bought it for me one Christmas and it makes for very interesting reading.

For those of you who own a copy of the original last supper, that’s the one given to you when you made your first holy communion and not the one that the church has since revised, take a good look at the supposed man sitting to the left of Jesus. Even as a teenager I thought that if it wasn’t a woman, it had to be the best looking man from those times I had ever seen.

No, I am not a Bible basher or a Tony Robinson basher, I hold my faith close to my chest. Tony Robinson manages fair, being lead by the Time Team digging up old relics. Dan Brown is not an old relic. Don’t try to analysis the ins and out of a writers mind. You do not come across as having the right qualifications.

As for Dan Browns next thriller, so what if he does end up writing about the Women’s Royal Voluntary Service (WRVS). He’s got the skills to turn it into one hell of a thriller. Just read The Lost Symbol to see what I mean.

When you pay to use their mail service you expect to get satisfaction seeing your parcel/letter get to the person it was intended for.
I can understand that there would be possible times when for what ever reason, they misplace the odd parcel/letter. However, it comes as a bite to

hard to swallow when the same family has complained four times that mail, the mail service had been trusted with had not reached its destination, or in the words of our Post Office staff “your mail as been lost”.

I ask you what kind of comment is that to give to a customer… It’s been lost. Is there some kind of rift in time, and space where on closer inspection we find our mail falling through a Black Hole never to be seen again. How about a ghostly mailweiler that follows postmen/women waiting for its chance to chew on our letters rather than biting the postman/women leg. No, I don’t believe that one either.

So what other excuse is there. I don’t think it takes a genius to work out what may be happening. I think somewhere in the system there are sticky fingers attached to some individual/individual’s, and these particular individual’s have been handling parcels, and letter for some time to the extent that they can tell from the way a parcel is wrapped what its contents have a strong possibility of being. I think that’s the time your/mine/our parcel is in danger of being lost.
Sadly if this is the reason for the lost mail the small minority of individuals who do this are throwing bad light on the vast majority of honest hard working people.

Now its time for some stat’s, I watched a recent news report on the missing mail, and the statement from our wonderful mail service said they do a wonderful job so much so that out of the 21 Billion of posted parcels/mail the 0.58% of mail that goes missing in a year is not a bad result.

It may be a result for them try telling that to the 0.58% of people that get themselves stressed because once again their parcel has gone missing, and claiming against the mail services for the loss of their mail. Time for another statistic a 0.58% loss of 21 Billion works out at 121,800 000. letters, and parcels that may or may not go missing every year. How safe is your mail…?

Diamond

My posting has slowed down some over the last month. I was hoping to give the website a new face lift, but I am told my website is to diverse when it comes to making a template. My variegated website confuses Google and the other search engines this in turn means I end up being ranked at the bottom. So it would appear for the time being I am going to stick with WordPress. Anyway you did not pay me a visit to listen to my sad tidings, onward and upward. My post.

I speak of an age old problem in the field of Mental Health, Schizophrenia. Now this is a word that could bring to mind all sorts of answers. If you ask the general individuals the meaning of the word you may get an uneducated reply something along these lines crazy person, not normal, Loony Tune, Jekyll and Hyde type person, dangerous person, someone who needs to be locked away from us normal people, and so on, and so on. (sad)

Many in the medical world believe Schizophrenia can be pigeon-holed as a person with multiple personalities, another word I have often heard used in the world of medicine is Catatonia. Catatonia is a syndrome of psychic and motoric-disturbances, a condition marked by changes in muscle tone, or activity associated with a large number of serious mental and physical illnesses. In the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders published by the American Psychiatric Association (DSM-IV) it is not recognized as a separate disorder.

It can also be present in individuals suffering from physical and emotional conditions such as drug intoxication, depression, and schizophrenia (catatonic type). Well, that’s enough of that for the time being. I should mention here that Schizophrenia is not the illness of madmen/women, unfortunately the way mental health is often portrayed in the media these days reinforces the perception of the general public. There is documented proof that some individuals have a single attack of Schizophrenia they recover, and remain well never being bothered by the condition again.

I am no doctor or even a med student, but as a counsellor I do have my own personal view of Schizophrenia. Here it is. Lets start with normal… tell me what is normal?, my idea of normal is relative only to the individual… Using myself as a simple example such as: I like Coffee, and it would not be unusual for me not to have at least 2 cups every day. I also enjoy a drink of dark rum, and my appetite for chocolate biscuits has to be kept on reign, I do not believe I am prejudice etc, etc.

Now my partner as far as the above items mentioned are concerned likes none of the items bar one, (she is not prejudice) her pet hate is coffee. While we have many things in common we also disagree on other things. After I have had a drink of coffee there is no bribe I could offer her to kiss me with the smell of coffee on my breath.

Does this mean my partner/wife is not normal, or has a psychiatric problem, no it does not. It just means we have differing tastes, moods and attitudes and these parts make the whole. So from my view point to me it would be right to say normal is relevant only to the individual.

As individuals, I believe we are made up of many parts each part is unique to each individual, some are moody, some are happy, some of us are biased, while some are murderers, some hate the old, even more of us are jealous of the young, you may often here the comment youth is wasted on the young. This list could go on and on.

whilst we all share many of those mentioned the way we respond differs with each individual. So from my stand point to say that each, and everyone of us is made up of many parts is correct. These parts and how we each respond to living gives us our uniqueness, bundle it all together to make the whole (you). Not a Dr. Jekyll or Mr Hyde, not a crazy person that has to be locked up and kept away from normal people.

Yes, I do agree there could well be a small minority of individuals that suffer Schizophrenia and more than likely will never be free from symptoms such as hearing voices, or having unusual beliefs and yes some may be incomprehensible, and unpredictable even appearing menacing, but we are in more danger from being stabbed, raped, or mugged just for the hell of it by what some people term as normal people, than we are from a sufferer of Schizophrenia.

So why title this post flawed diamond?.

A diamond has many facets when held up to the light each facet sparkles and shines. Each diamond is unique, each facet makes up the whole (diamond). Some diamonds have flaws but these flaws still have a part to play in the making of the whole.

I look at those that suffer Schizophrenia much like the diamond, there is no Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, or anything else for that matter, just a flawed facet of the whole and much like the diamond it is possible to polish out the flaw repairing that particular facet restoring the diamond/individual whole again, or normal.

What was that I said Normal… Well here we go again… full circle me thinks

Since this post my website has under gone a face lift… twice… Thankfully with the help of Venificusunus, Lisa Marie Art and a new improved WordPress.

Whether you are married, living with someone, or in business etc. if you expect it to work you should first realise the need to support each other. If it is all one sided, sooner, or later the partnership will drift apart… but this was not quite what I had in mind.

I was thinking more in line with genetics/heredity.

I was listening to a news item when the presenter got to talking about the up and coming new American President and how he has got a good woman behind him. This was followed up with a news item about an attack on a 65 years old woman pensioner, she was beaten up badly and robbed of a few pounds, another item was the rape of a young girl. The robbery was committed by a young lad under 15 years of age (no name) the rape of the young girl was said to have been committed by a 32 year old male. Another news item was about a 70 year old female pensioner being beaten, raped and left for dead. Nothing unusual about that you might say, sadly that kind of thing seems to be in the news on a regular basis these days. My point is more and more crime is being perpetrated against women. …back to my thoughts…

I am sure most all of us are aware of body building and how this sport is dominated by men more than women well, just supposing it did become the norm, for women to body-build, now lets go one step further supposing more and more of these particular men and women married, had children and so on.

We as human being have survived over the centuries by evolving and adapting to our environment, are you ahead of me I wonder. Now just supposing these super fit men and women handing down their DNA made for strong healthier babies. At the moment the boffins agree that there are more female babies being born than there are male, add to the equation that in the not to distant future as far as needing a man to help produce children goes, you will not, need a man to help produce a baby I mean.

You need to stretch your imagination here lets say in the not to distant future the need for a women to bear the child was no longer necessary… why? because in time scientists had found away for it to be done out-side of the body in an artificial womb.

Now lets add the equation up, more female babies being born, carrying DNA from their body-building parents, may have a knock on effect making for stronger, sleeker female babies being born. they in turn would more than not, as they got older, carry on in the same vein as their parents.

What you may have is super fit females. No-longer needed to lend their body to bearing children, now have a need for more in life, like taking on jobs that have been male dominated for years, sick and tired of being mugged, raped, looked upon as being second class citizens, in the eyes of some cultures… I’m on your side girls.

Those males among us who enjoy this kind of crime, they know who they are, need to think long and hard because fella’s it won’t be long before you become the hunted.

Mobility Scooter

I had intended not to make another post until I had the new website that is currently in the making up and running, but it looks like it’s going to be a little while before that happens. In the meantime, a newspaper article about mobility scooters caught my eye. Apparently an elderly lady boarded her local Metro train using her mobility scooter and was promptly asked to leave the train by the driver. Until she did so, the train would not be leaving the platform. The elderly lady protested saying she needed to catch the train to pick up her new glasses and she had no intention of getting off of the train. It all ended in tears as Metro security, who were called by the driver, removed her and her mobility scooter from the train. So what do do think? Big Brother?… or maybe the heavy arm of the law?… Victimization?… On the face of it it sure looks like one of them, or maybe all three.

Now lets go back in time a little, and bear in mind that this elderly lady knew all about the ban and maybe wanted to see how far the authorities would go. A few weeks earlier, maybe a month, another article in the local news rag had reported how an elderly person on a mobility scooter had boarded her local Metro train and what happened next could have been a scene from You’ve Been Framed had it not been so life threatening!

What happened was that this particular individual tried to board the Metro train driving their scooter, but they must have been heavy on the throttle because instead of just boarding the train, they actually crashed through the doors on the other side of the train landing on the opposite rail track. All it took was for the train on the opposite side of the track to be passing at same the time as the accident… get the picture?… one seriously injured, or more than likely, one dead elderly person to scrape off of the railway tracks.

Nexus owners of the Metro system rightly or wrongly announced that a ban would be placed on mobility scooter owners boarding trains for the present. An accident that could have resulted in loss of life was too close a call for them is my best guess.

Now lets move on to another article before the above accident happened. I read a little about a little boy who had been unable to get out of the way of one of these scooters and was knocked to the ground. I also think the article mentioned the scooter owner did not stop… Should that have been a hit and run. The young boy was OK.

Another incident also took place around the same time. This time it was an elderly lady who was knocked down and it was reported that the scooter owner had said they would go and ring for an ambulance… She never came back… Another hit and run maybe? There is a sad side to this story the elderly lady who was knocked down died a few weeks later in hospital. It is reported that the accident could have been a contributing factor in her death.

Do not leave my post thinking I am biased against OAP’s, as they used to be called, I’m not. I am very much aware the mobility scooter gets those individuals that would normally be stuck in the home out in to the fresh air. What I am saying is once again the minority are blackening the individuals who use their scooter responsibly. I feel there should be a place where scooter riders can go to learn how to control their vehicle before being let loose on our pavements, and while I am on the subject of pavements, don’t you think we have enough traffic on our ‘once safe to walk pavements’. Instead of being knock to the ground by adults riding bicycles, we now need eyes in the back of heads to watch for low flying mobility scooter riders!

Given time, and as these vehicle catch on, more and more of them will be invading our pavements so much so, that it will be safer to walk on the highway and take your chance with passing motorists!
